Special Guest Matchmaker Jessica Fass

Discussion:

  • International dating - do similar cultural backgrounds/nationalities really affect long-term compatibility?
  • Jewish dating - the challenges of matching people with different/varying levels of religious observance of the Jewish faith. This is often times more challenging than the different nationalities/cultural backgrounds.
  • How to start and maintain a relationship via Skype - what to say on the first call, 2nd call, when to follow up, etc.. The do's and don'ts of long-distance and international dating.
  • Long-distance relationship texting - do's and don'ts.
  • How to create "textual chemistry"
  • If you meet someone while on vacation or traveling or living abroad for a while, how do you know if it's worth it to stay in touch and try out a long-distance relationship?
  • Being open to international dating - why you should try it if you've been very picky in the past. Maybe your match is just not currently living in your city, state or country.
  • At what point should you travel to meet your international/long-distance match in person if it's only been a Skype/virtual relationship thus far?
  • How to keep your long-distance partner excited about you and build chemistry and intimacy over time.
  • At what point in the relationship should you bring up relocation and whom should move/relocate for whom?

About Jessica:

Jessica Fass hails from Los Angeles, CA, but spent 2011-2016 living in her Jewish homeland of Tel Aviv, Israel, where she launched her matchmaking company Fass Pass to Love (a play-on-words for the Disneyland "Fast Pass") for young professional internationals and Israelis in Sept. 2013. Now in partnership with Jenny Apple Matchmaking in the U.S., Fass Pass to Love currently services Jewish singles of all ages worldwide, and will launch a non-denominational division by fall 2016. Her current matchmaking "niche" is matching international clients, and the marriages she's responsible for to date include an Israeli man to a Danish woman, an Israeli man to a Dutch woman, and an Israeli/Swedish woman to a French man, among others.

Previously, Jessica worked as a script and on-set assistant in Hollywood from 2005-2010 on TV hits such as “Two and a Half Men," "The Big Bang Theory," and "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" and "Doc McStuffins" for the Disney Channel. She holds a BA in Screenwriting and TV Production and is also an amateur stand-up comedian! She is currently working on her Matchmaking Certification from The Matchmaking Institute. Jessica is very excited to be using her "producing skills" that she honed in Hollywood to now "produce" her clients' love lives.
