Worst First Date! Contest / Fundraiser Jan 1st - Feb 14th
The Basic Idea...
HAVE FUN: We ask people to submit their worst first date experience and the winner is determined by social media votes/likes! Each person will receive their own link to share in efforts to get votes (likes). Every voting page will list ALL of the participating matchmakers/coaches and prizes!
DO GOOD: There is no entry fee for submissions but we will be asking for donations to a charity.
PRIZE: A collection of our work! Books, ebooks, downloads, consultation, coaching call, product etc.
Let's create a social media share fest and get our names and businesses out there in a fun and creative way!
Have Fun:
First dates. Let’s face it. Sometimes, they’re great. But just as often, not so great. And every now and then, they’re, well, awful. Nightmarish. Horrible. The worst, ever!
We should know. As Matchmaker’s and Coaches, we hear all kinds of stories from all kinds of singles about their worst first dates. And now we want to hear from you! Think you have been on the worst first date ever? Tell us about it. And you just might win a groovy prize for sharing your story.
Everyone is invited to stop by and read the tales of dating woe, or even share their own story, but only one lucky single will win!
The winner will receive:
One month coaching program (4 one hour sessions) from Miss MatchMaker! Denise Levy, BSW
45 Min Dating & Relationship Coaching Consultation from Matchmaker Rachal Russo, MS, MFT
From Dan Silverman The Miami Matchmaker: E-book for men Inner Game Power for women Find the Perfect Man AND a 30 minute dating coaching session on Skype!
Don’t want to kiss and tell? No problem. We will not be posting names with the stories! But don’t wait too long to send us your story. So, what are you waiting for? Enter today!
{Other prizes to be added...you can donate a free book, ebook, consultation, coaching session, service or product to add to the list!}
Do GOOD!
We will be asking for a donation to charity with each story submission.
Arlene Vasquez Washburn came up with the idea of asking for a donation for a repetuable charity. Rachel Russo has already done some research on this and I will be posting more information soon.
The charity we are considering is Sanctuary for Familes. Sanctuary for Families is New York's leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. Donations will be made directly to the charity to avoid accounting issues on my end.
Many thanks to Lisa Clampitt for pointing Rachel towards this particular charity! Crossing fingers in hopes they will be open to our support!
LEADS: I will only be accepting one matchmaker/coach per city. You will receive any and all leads generated for your city and agree to pay the industry standard referral rate of 20% to MMGC. MMGC will in turn donate 5% directly to the charity. (Matchmakers and Coaches will be allowed to participate on a first come first serve basis = one matchmaker/coach per city.) To see an example of information collected for leads click here. It will be a shorter form with less information for the contest but this gives you the general idea.
All participating matchmakers/coaches will have their photo, short bio, and link to their website listed on the contest web page along with their free gift!
Example:

What I am asking for in return?
1 Free download, coaching session, consultation, ebook anything you would like to offer! More importantly: Exposure! 5 Social media posts between Jan 1st and Feburary 14th (one per week). 2 Newsletter blasts (or more). Templates will be provided.
This is a work in progress...
I am open to any input and/or suggestions! Feel free to email direct at [email protected]
I would like to schedule a 30 minute google hangout with all participating to be recorded and used for promotion on social media. Individual short video clips are another option....as scheduling a group video could be complicated.
If you would like to participate please submit your contact information ASAP!
Once your information is submitted you will be contacted with further information. For now I am using my matchmaker contact page to collect your information and stay organized. Please excuse the subscribe popup for my newsletter. Just click "X no thanks" if you do not wish to subscribe to my newsletter.
This page is not intended for the general public. It is being used to spread the word to matchmakers and coaches only. The contest will be held on another link so please do not publicly share this page for any reason other than it's intended use.
I look forward to working with everyone! Let's have FUN and do GOOD together!
